Celebrating strong relationships and continuing to help the community.
One of Whangārei’s friendliest faces has been gifted a new scooter so he can keep bringing his smooth tunes to the city streets.
Several months ago, Te Wairongoa Paniona – the beloved busker known as Mr T – was hit by a vehicle at an intersection in Whangarei CBD. This effectively made it almost impossible for Mr T to ‘get around’ and take part in the regular busking and community activities loves so much.
This is where Pride Mobility stepped in and decided to collaborate with NorthAble’s EQ+ mobility equipment store giving away one of their own electric scooters for free for Mr T. Without Pride Mobility’s contribution Mr T dream of getting a new scooter could not be fulfilled so we want to thank them heavily for contributing. Knowing that when you are out and about anything can happen, TMH has stepped up to the plate to help ensure that the scooter is insured for the next three years.
If you would like to read more about Mr T story, then there is a On The Up! Article on the Northern Advocate. Or if you would like to check out the varied Pride mobility equipment then head to the EQ+ store at 73 John Street, Whangārei where you can have your very own trial.
